About Me

My name is Wimaladasa Manage.

On the band I am known as “Wimal” 4S7WI.

I am from down south of Srilanka, village called Gandara in Matara district. Five miles away from Matara town along Matara Tangalle [Katharagama] Road. 

I did my preliminary education at Gandara Maha Viddiyalaya and secondary at Rohana Maha Viddiyalaya, [Wellawatta] Matara.

My first carrier was as a Wireless Telegraph Operator at Police Department. After giving resignation to police department, I served in the private sector for a short period.

About one year at Priema Ceylon Ltd, China-bay Trincomalle and after that at McCollum Breweries Ltd, Meegoda. Whiles working at McCollum Breweries, as a Junior Executive [Electrical Forman], I got an opportunity to study for City & Guild examination and “Diploma in Technology – Electrical” at Open University, Nawala.

Finally in 1979, I joined Ceylon Petroleum Corporation. I served at Ceylon Petroleum Corporation for nearly 20 years, as an Executive Officer.  I retired from the Corporation services on the year 2004.
